The Fenwick Cuda

A full body-off restoration correcting decades-old non-authentic modifications — the original 440 six-barrel induction setup was long gone, replaced with correct-date-code parts to bring the car back to its factory-delivered configuration.

The project

The car arrived with a single four-barrel carburetor where the factory 440-6 setup — three two-barrel carburetors on an aluminum intake — should have been, a common swap from decades ago when six-pack parts were simply easier to find. We sourced a correct, date-code-appropriate triple-carburetor induction system rather than a modern reproduction, and full media blasting on the unibody revealed trunk-floor rust requiring a correct-gauge patch panel rather than the significantly thinner reproduction steel readily available in the aftermarket.

The factory-correct “shaker” hood scoop linkage — connected directly to the air cleaner so it visibly vibrates with the engine — was rebuilt to correct factory function, not left as a non-functional cosmetic piece.
