A car that is clean and a car that is prepared for a judged concours field are not the same standard. Concours prep is for cars that are already restored — by us or by someone else — and are headed to a real judged event, where a real judging sheet will deduct points for specific, named flaws rather than form a vague overall impression.
What we do
We run a full mock judging pass against the same real category structure used by the 100-point calculator on the home page — Exterior, Interior, Chassis, Engine — and close every gap it finds: plating that reads as non-authentic, panel gaps a judge’s eye will catch, underbody detailing that looks freshly cleaned rather than genuinely correct, and anything in the engine bay that doesn’t read as era-correct.
Documentation review
We assemble the paperwork a judge, and a future buyer, will actually ask for — casting dates, build-sheet data, prior restoration records — the same real documentation behind the numbers-matching explainer on the home page. A car with the right story and no paperwork behind it is a much weaker position than a car with both.
Trailer-ready sort-out
The last thing any owner wants is a car that ran perfectly in the shop and hiccups on the show field after a trailer ride. We do a full mechanical sort-out and shakedown immediately before the event so the car arrives exactly as prepared.
