The project
The split rear window was dropped after just one model year, making this specific body style one of the most recognizable in American car history — and one of the most heavily reproduced in fiberglass repair panels of wildly varying quality. We sourced correct-thickness replacement fiberglass sections rather than the thinner, warp-prone reproduction panels common in the aftermarket, and the numbers-matching 327 small-block was rebuilt with correct-date-code internals rather than a crate-engine substitution.
Both the split rear window glass and the correct factory knock-off wheel style were sourced new-old-stock rather than reproduction, at the owner’s specific request.
