The project
Early 240Zs are increasingly hard to find with unmolested mechanical specification, since decades of affordable performance-parts availability means many examples have been quietly modified away from factory spec over the years. This car's independent strut suspension — advanced for an affordable sports car of its era — was rebuilt with correct-specification springs and dampers rather than the more common aftermarket lowering-spring substitution, preserving the car's original ride height and handling balance exactly as delivered.
Correct factory ride height was confirmed at all four corners after the suspension rebuild, restoring the car’s original handling geometry.
